Dino Pešut was born in Sisak in 1990. He graduated in dramaturgy from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. His plays have been staged in numerous theatres in Croatia and abroad. He has won the Marin Držić Award, given by the Ministry of Culture of Crotia six times. He has also won the awards Deutschen Jugentheaterpreis and the annual Heartefact Fund award for the best engaged contemporary theatre play. He also works as a dramaturge. He published his first novel, Bruised Knees in 2018, Daddy’s Boy was published in 2020, as well as the children’s book Mom I Can Do It on My Own! In 2021, the book Plays was published, containing a selection of the author’s theatre plays.
