Christine Doessel has been an editor in the feature section of the Süddeutsche Zeitung (SZ) in Munich since 2000 and is responsible for the theatre / dance section there. Before that she worked as a freelance theatre critic for the SZ and Theater heute and others. Education: Traineeship at the Ring Nordbayerischer Tageszeitungen Bayreuth; attended the German School of Journalism in Munich; studied politics, theatre studies and philosophy at the LMU Munich. Jury work for the Berlin Theatertreffen (2004-2007) and for the Mülheim Theatertage (2001-2004; 2007-2012 and again since 2019), among others. She teaches at the German School of Journalism and at the Bavarian Theatre Academy in Munich.
